The Threefold Message of the Bible

The Bible is divinely inspired and is the message of God to mankind.  Every book has a subject or theme.  So does the Bible have a subject - a threefold message for every individual today.

The first thing God wants us to know is that everyone born into the world is born alienated from God, is spiritually dead in sin and trespasses and cannot possibly hope to enter heaven in that condition.  (Please read Genesis 3, Romans 5:12, Psalm 51:5, Romans 3:10, 23.)  To die in this spiritual condition means eternal separation from God and everlasting suffering in hell.  (Please read Isaiah 14:9, Luke 12:4-5, Mark 8:36, Luke 16:19-31, Revelation 20:11-15.)

Secondly, God wants man to know that no one can save himself.  The very best man can do, whether it takes the form of religion, morals or charity, etc. cannot bring about forgiveness of sin or secure him a place in heaven.  (Please read Isaiah 53:6, Jeremiah 2:22, Ephesians 2:8-9, Titus 3:5, Luke 18:9-14.)  Man needs a Savior outside of himself.

The third part of the Bible's message is that God has provided a Savior for mankind.  That is why Jesus Christ is the central figure in all the Bible.  (Please read Luke 24:44-45, Isaiah 53:4-6, John 3:16, Hebrews 9:22, John 19, I Corinthians 15:3-4.)  It is through Jesus Christ, who is the "only begotten Son of God," that God reconciles sinners to Himself, becomes their Father and assures them of a home with Him in heaven.

God has provided, in Jesus Christ, the perfect, sinless and acceptable Substitute and Savior.  (Please read Romans 5:8 and 6:23.)  Jesus Christ died in your place and paid the penalty of sin for you, but just believing that He did is not enough.  You must personally receive him!  You can have forgiveness of sin and eternal life today by believing and obeying god's Word.  Go to God in humble and sincere prayer right now.  Acknowledge to Him that you are a sinner as His Word says.  Admit the wickedness of sin and resolve to turn from sin with your heart and life.  Ask God to forgive your sins, and receive Jesus Christ as your own Lord and Savior.  He will forgive you and save you and keep you.  (Please read Acts 16:31, Romans 10:9-13, I John 5:13, John 10:28-29.)  Simply take God at His Word, and act upon His promise in faith.  You can enjoy peace with God and an abundant and victorious life in Christ beginning today! (Please read John 5:24, Luke 18:9-14, John 10:10.)

If you have taken God at His Word and trusted in Christ as Savior, we would deeply appreciate the privilege of helping you get started right in your new Christian life.  We would be glad to send you free Bible study material, have you as a visitor at any of our scheduled services, or upon your request, a minister would be happy to pay you a personal visit.
